So, when a cruise line like Viking has a sale, it’s a major event. With a huge range of dates, itineraries and various offers, sometimes the details, rules and conditions can be confusing. That’s why we’ve simplified the latest “Viking Explorer Sale” offers here in our latest blog.

From 19 December 2025 to 31 March 2026, Viking is giving you a choice of three offers valued up to AU$5,000 per couple on River voyages and up to AU$2,500 per couple on Ocean and Expedition voyages. The offers are available to book from 19 December with the Explorer Sale, promoting “Fly Free, Upgrade or Save.” The three offer choices are:

Fly Free:

-Fly Free Economy on River voyages up to AU$5,000 per couple

-Companion Fly Free on Ocean & Expedition voyages up to AU$2,500 per couple

OR Business Class Airfare Credit:

-Business Class Airfare Credit up to AU$5,000 per couple on River voyages.

-Business Class Airfare Credit up to AU$2,500 per couple on Ocean & Expedition voyages

OR Cruise Only Save:

-Cruise-Only Discount save AU$5,000 per couple on River voyages

-Cruise-Only Discount save AU$2,500 per couple on Ocean & Expedition voyages

The offers are valid for new bookings for 2026, 2027, 2028 voyages made between 19 December 2025 and 31 March 2026 at 6 pm unless sold out prior.

The offers are not applicable on 2025 voyages, Australia & New Zealand, Komodo & the Australian Coast, Grand Australia Circumnavigation, Mediterranean Getaway, Viking World Cruise/Discovery/Journey/Voyage, Longitudinal World Cruises, From the Arctic to Antarctica and Arctic to Antarctic Explorer itineraries.

Fly Free is for economy class and up to the value of AU$2,500 per person; use code FFE25 to activate when booking a Viking River cruise online or via the Contact Centre. Guests may instead apply AU$2,500 per person towards a Business Class upgrade booked through Viking with AU$2,500 off a business class airfare using code FFB25 or receive AU$2,500 per person off the cruise fare in lieu of flights using code CRU25.

Companion Fly Free is a return economy flight for one passenger up to AU$2,500 per booking; use code CFE25 to activate when booking a Viking Ocean or Expedition cruise online or via the Contact Centre. Guests may instead apply AU$2,500 per booking towards a Business Class upgrade booked through Viking with AU$2,500 off a business class airfare using code CFB25 or receive AU$2,500 per booking off the cruise fare in lieu of flights using code CRX25. Companion Fly Free excludes Australia & New Zealand, Komodo & the Australian Coast, Grand Australia Circumnavigation, and Viking World Cruise, Discovery, Journey, and Voyage, Arctic to Antarctic Explorer, Longitudinal World Cruises and From the Arctic to Antarctica itineraries.

All flight offers are valid only if booked through Viking in conjunction with selected 2026, 2027, and 2028 Viking River, Ocean, or Expedition cruises on Viking’s choice of airline from major gateway cities in Australia and New Zealand. If applicable airfares exceed AU$2,500, guests must pay the difference at the time of flight booking. Any unused portion of the flight offer value is forfeited and cannot be transferred to any other part of the booking or person. Both guests must be on the same flight booking and travel together in both directions. Guests within the same booking must select the same offer. Guests can only redeem one offer per booking either Fly Free OR Business Class Air Credit OR Save and book Cruise Only. Flight offers and deposit amounts vary for World Cruises, Longitudinal World Cruises, and Grand Journeys.
